The Dynamic Smart City and Networking
Evolution is unstoppable in our tech-era. Everything is changing rapidly; the advent of cloud, big data, and IoT have brought a quantum leap in everything they touche. And now, technologists are trying to employ these technologies in every city to mark a new evolution. Although some countries have already established smart cities, there is still an important pain point to address.
It is a well-known fact that in the making of a smart city, technologies like sensors, cameras, Wi-Fi trackers, videos, smart meters, analytics, etcetera will be involved. But one should note that in all these technologies, network acts as a cornerstone. Hence to establish a smarter city, one needs a high-powered network where data sharing is a constant and continuous process. However, this is possible only if all the networks centers work together. A perfect example for this is the merging of AT&T with GE who is up to modify street lights into micro data-centers. These lights are equipped with videos, acoustic, and environmental sensors promoting surveillance and delivering valuable insights.
